• Ittefaq Hospital was established at Lahore by the family members of Ittefaq Group of Industries. The moving spirit behind this noble idea was that of its chairman, Mian Muhammad Sharif (Late). The desire of the Chairman of Ittefaq Group was to provide Quality Service to the community at large, for both the rich and the poor and to help and assist the needy persons by providing every assistance in their health care, under one roof.

• Trust Hospital: Ittefaq Hospital is a "Trust Hospital" and works on "No Profit No Loss" basis & is approved as such "by C.B.R"

• Reasonable hospital charges received from the patients are ploughed back for the benefit of the poor patients. There is a sizeable benevolent fund and a fair number of charity beds in the hospital. Charity & Benevolence amounted to more than 1-1/2 Crore Rupees and every year.

• The hospital operates under the auspices of the Board of Trustees. Mian Muhammad Sharif (Late) was the Patron & Chief Executive, Chairman of the Hospital Trust and the Board of Trustees. Mian Muhammad Javed Shafi is the Director and Chairman of Hospital Management Committee.

• The hospital was formally inaugurated by the President of Pakistan, (late) General Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq on 3rd July 1986. It has three hundred and sixty six (366) beds, multidiscipline hospital which includes hundred (100) private rooms and provides comprehensive facilities for most of the specialties. All disciplines specialist O.P.D clinics function on daily basis. The in-house, full time, hospital staff consists of 34 highly qualified consultants and specialists who have work experience in the United States of America and the United Kingdom to their credit. In addition to that, there are 24 Registrars and 124 permanent in-house resident medical officers. Hospital and its services operate 24 hours round the clock.

• The hospital stands in healthy surroundings in front of a large park near H. Block, Model Town (off Main Ferozepur Road) within a drive of about twenty (20) minutes from the Lahore airport or 5-7 minutes drive from main Gulberg / Model Town area. It consists of four storey buildings comprising of existing four blocks namely Ramazan block, Bukhsh block, Mehran block and Outdoor block with the recent addition of new out doors & diagnostics block. All the wards and private rooms are air-conditioned and most are furnished with TV, fridge and telephone facilities. Moreover all rooms and wards have facilities of central oxygen and suction. There are two special rooms with motorized beds and some additional facilities. A nurse buzzer system is available in all private rooms for prompt response to patient's call.

• Quality food is available in the hospital cafeteria at reasonable prices, both for the patients and the visitors. 'Special patients diet' is provided on request.

• A "brief" about the hospital's feed back Performa is issued to the patients for their observation, experience and comments.

• The hospital has its own Nursing School (recognized by Pakistan Nursing Council).  Every year about 30 students are enrolled for 3-4 years nursing course.  

• The hospital has its own School of Paramedics which provides training to 82 students every year in the discipline of Laboratory , Radiology, Operation Theatre and Ophthalmology.

• There are about Four Hundred and Seventy Two  (472) nurses and paramedical employees. Total hospital  employees  working  for  hospital services are more than 1200. This hospital is serving the community by providing job facilities.

• Ittefaq Hospital is recognized by Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) and by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan (CPSP) for resident/house officers training and higher post graduate studies/diplomas

• The hospital is provided with a sufficient number of beds to accommodate a reasonable number of patients.
